Rochester Products Flex Fuel Kits:

How Does Flex-Fuel Technology Work?

A Flex-Fuel vehicle (FFV) has all the same fuel equipment and engine like any other standard vehicle. A FFV is designed to run on gasoline and E85 or any blend of them. The engine and fuel system in a flex-fuel vehicle may need to be adapted slightly to run on ethanol fuels because some components in gasoline vehicles are not compatible with ethanol. Our conversion kits have everything you need for this conversion. These include components in the fuel delivery system, gaskets, tubing, etc. Each vehicles requirements may be different.

Our patent pending highly specialized computer system monitors several engine sensors that convey the engine's status and requirements. It then compensates the fuel amount delivered to the engine based on the ratio of the gasoline to ethanol measured in the fuel lines as it is fed to your engine, split second fuel tuning.

FLEX-JET conversion kits are available for classic cars, trucks and boats and come in three different models depending upon your budget and performance requirements.

E-FIRE is a "Plug and Go" system for your EFI car that requires no tuning or operator intervention. However performance enhancements can be made for E-Fire via a laptop for off road use.

FLEX-JECTION systems offer optional mass air flow and wideband lambda O2 sensors that make engine tuning easy.

FLEX-JECTION TBI is a Throttle Body Injection (TBI) system that is a cost effective solution for engines under 600HP.

FLEX-JECTION MPI is a Multi-Port Injection (MPI) system for engines up to and over 1000+HP. Our MPI systems are designed for the ultimate in high performance with improved drivability and idle conditions.

Rochester Products Corporation manufactures all flexible fuel conversion systems to include everything needed to correctly convert a gasoline only car, boat or truck for flexible fuel operation.

FLEX-JET and E-FIRE Kits are certified for specific vehicle applications and most are legal in 50 States for OEM emission controlled engines. Flex-Jet and E-Fire incorporate Rochester Products (Patent Pending) Electronic Flexible Fuel Injection Control Systems.

FFV technology uses a special "Fuel Mix" sensor in the fuel line to analyze the fuel mixture and control the fuel injection and timing to adjust for different fuel compositions. The flex-fuel vehicle offers its owner an environmentally beneficial option whenever the alternative fuel is available.
